It will work. The Q6600 will run a bit hotter than a 45nm chip. But, it will definitely work. When you overclock that Q6600, it will destroy that dual in multi threaded applications. Don't get my wrong. The 9650 has a bigger cache and a higher multiplier, but it isn't worth the price.

No. He has a 4870 which is far more powerful than a 9800GT and roughly equal to the GTX 260 Core 216.
