Looking for newer desktop system

I'm helping my in-laws look for a newer maybe refurbished computer system & wondering if anyone has suggestions where to look. I've bought from HP & Dell online, but they're too much money for the folks since they don't have much to spend. They mostly send emails & photos, play some games, and buy stuff online. A friend had good luck at http://www.computergeeks.com & others said look at some other sites like pricegrabber...new egg...tiger direct...etc. I saw this http://www.compgeeks.com/details.as...P540N-R&cat=SYS & it seems good but these people have had some complaints on resellers rating.com so I don't want to get burned. Thanks for any help.

Well there is lots of cheap systems available, if u just want a basic computer by 1 second hand on ebay or look in your local newspaper etc to see if anyone is selling 1 in your area.
