I'm looking for a new internal hard drive. what do i need to look for as far as getting a new one. What things do i need to find out about my computer as far as hard drive speed, bios capability, motherboard form factor, or whatever. I want to get a new one and I want to make sure I get the right one. any help would be appreciated thanks

Default Re: Looking for a new hardware

You should be looking for one with a SATA interface, faster, and much neater cables. But make sure your motherboard supports SATA first.

Basically, anything from a quality manufacturer, such as Western Digital, Samsung, Seagate, Hitachi etc.
AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE @ 4.0GHz + TU120E lapped - MSI 770-CD45 AM3 - 2x2GB OCZ DDR3 1333MHz - Sapphire HD 4870 - Samsung Spinpoint 500GB 7200RPM 16MB cache HDD - Tagan TG600-BZ Piperock - (Currently open test bed) - Windows Vista Home Premium 64bit.
