What type of stuff will you be playing? What is your budget? Does your computer have PCIx16 or PCIx16 2.0?

You need to show the Wattage of your power supply. If your case came with a PSU then it would most likely be 350W, but all that aside I would say the ATi Radeon HD 4850 is good for any PSU.

As I asked in the other thread, what type of expansion slot does your motherboard have for a video card? PCI, AGP or PCI-Express?

If you don't know, can you post the model number of the motherboard? It should be printed on the board itself. Even just the model number of the computer will help if it's a prebuilt such as Dell or Compaq.

Power Supply Wattage: 300W
PCI Slot
It's an ASUS system.

I'm not too fussy about the cost, but i want a fairly good card.

* Graphic Card - 128MB Nvidia FX 5900 Ultra, ATI Radeon 9800, Intel 82915G/82910GL or better.

That's basically what i need to play, but i do have Flight simulator X that i've not opened since i got it months ago so anything greater would be nice!

Well, if you only have a standard PCI slot, your choices are extremely limited.

This is about the best you can get for a PCI card: POWERCOLOR PCI Radeon HD 2400PRO

What's the model number of that Asus system?

How do you rate that card?

The system is Asus M2V-MX SE

I've actually got a graphics card but it doesn't fit into the pc properly as basically it's the wrong way round. The back of it that sticks out of the pc case has to face into the pc for the card to fit into the slot. It's a ATI RADEON X1300 PRO, PCI Express version.

Is it something wrong with the pc or just the card type?

Is the "Asus M2V-MX SE" the motherboard model? That's all I get when Googled. If so, it has a PCI-Express slot, not just a PCI. Big difference there.

Who built the computer?

From your description of how the X1300 fits in there, it sounds like you have a BTX form factor case. Which is weird because the Asus M2V-MX SE motherboard is an ATX form factor.

Looking at the back of your computer, which does it most resemble in the pic:

Oh! It's the motherboard model

It's a custom built computer, from a shop/company (shamlefully) off ebay. And now it seems i'm really paying for it!

Out of the picture, it's the first case.

By the way, thanks for your time on this!
