Hey guys - I'm looking for a desktop computer. The trick is, I'd like one of the slim or compact computers (such as HP SlimLine or Dell Studio Slim). I don't know if there are any other manufacturers that have similar ones. I'd like the following specs (at least):
- Intel Quad-Core Q9550+ (or equivalent AMD)
- 5gb ram + (preferably faster than 800mhz because that requires a better mother board opening possibilities for down the road)
- 500gb HD +
- Graphics Card isn't the most important with that powerful of processor and that much ram. I'll be using it for light gaming and photo/video editing as well as statistical analysis, business processes, etc.
- <$1000
I can get right under $1000 on Dell.com but was wondering if there were any other manufacturers that had slim/compact desktops that may be worth checking out.
EDIT: I just found a company called polywell and was able to build a really cheap configuration. Does anyone know anything about them? Here is my configuration for $864.00:
