Hello everyone im new to this site and im not very computer smart. im looking to build a gaming computer possible from scratch i have a budget of 750 dollars and just need a tower setup. (i have mouse keyboard moniter ect.) i do not know if this is the right place to post. im also wondering what the diffrence between over clocking and not overclocking. why does it matter? any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

overclocking is where the user manually goes into the BIOS of the pc and sets the processing power of the components to higher than stock
which makes the pc run faster
and also causes more heat as a result
and the extra heat also shortens the life span of the pc

have you taken a look at a barebone kit?
and what are you wanting to do with this pc?
just surf the web
or play certain games or what?
the more info the more we can help

im looking to play games such as oblivion and wow and when it comes out hopefully diablo 3. i have not looked at a barebone kit like i said im new to this if you could explain a little more on what that is i would appreciate. i really have no idea what im doing just want a comp that can play some of the newer games and the ones coming out within the next year

a barebone kit is almost a complete pc
depending on the kit you would have little to add to it
