Longest monitor cable

I've got a client who will be running dual monitors. One of the monitors will probably be about 50ft away. If I get a 100ft monitor cable, will the picture be distorted? Thanks.

it shouldn't be. i know for ethernet cords it's about 250(m) away before the signal starts to screw up. you should be in the clear if it's only 100ft. if it's only going to be 50ft away why don't you just get a 50ft cord, lol. if it's just too short you could probably get an adapter and add 5ft or something.

Dishdog, haha yeah, I measured it and it's a little bit over 50ft. I haven't been able to find one in that length. I've found 100ft cords in stock around the area. Some have 75ft cords, but they are not in stock right now.

Yeah, I dont think they'd be a problem. If they developed them and they decreased the quality, I don't think people would bother with them.

I wouldn't imagine it would. It'd probably have more protection anyway on the inside of the cable to stop that type of thing from happening.

Anyhow, no harm trying.
