Default Long time upgrade needed

I'm starting to have to run games on med/low.

I have a 9600gt with 8gb of RAM and a 2.8ghz Core 2 Duo with a p43 motherboard and a 750 watt power supply.

125 dollars, what would be the best upgrade in your opinion to get the most out of games.

I was thinking about a new Graphics card, but i stopped being all technical and such back when the 4870 X2 was the pwn.

Suggestions?

Would that be worth upgrading from a 9600gt?

AFAIK the 5770's are more expensive, oc less and perform worse.
There are none in the Open box section
