Logitech Microphone to Work for Camtasia

OK, I got some new Logitech X-230 speakers, I wanted to use a microphone for using Camtasia, when I plugged it in, I couldn't get Camtasia to recognize it, even by selecting 'microphone'. How can I get this microphone to be detected? It's in the "microphone" slot in the speaker.

is the microphone plugged into the correct jack? and if so is that jack diasbled

It's plugged in the correct jack, and I can hear people through it, just not speak through it, it doesn't relay anything.
