Default Locked WMA files

I have some WMA files on my computer that will not play in Musicmatch 10 as they say they are locked for some reason. When I then attempt to transfer to my IRiver they just case the portable device to crash.I think I will have to delete them but I've tried various free converter software but still no luck so any help in this matter will be very much appreciated.

Default Re: Locked WMA files

If you use Windows Media Player (WMP) to rip CD tracks, WMP will often save them using Personal Rights Management so they cannot be reused without authorization. In WMP, under Tools>Options>Copy Music, uncheck the "Protect Content" box before ripping your WMA file.
