Whenever i double click on my Local Disk C: , instead of opening the contents of it, it takes me to the search page. Somehow, the computer has set "Search" as its first priority whenever double clicking a hard drive. I have to right click and then choose "Open" to get to the contents of the disk. Is there anyway, i can set "Open" as first priority?

ahhhhhhh that is the most annoying thing i had a similar problem mine was set to explore every time instead of open so every folder i opened was in a new window.

ill have a look about for you now

Edit : Found Something Useful.

try this

goto regedit. / start / run / type 'regedit' hit enter
goto the key
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\
Directory\
shell

Double-click on the default value and set it to 'none' without the quotes

or if that doesnt work then try this

goto start / run and type

'regsvr32 /i shell32.dll' without the quotes
