A Little Advice...?

Technically, AMD CPU's can't be that much worse at multi-tasking than Intels, cause they can process more tasks per...whatever, can't they?

Go for an Athlon 64. Any Intel and i'll never forgive you. :p

3500+ looks good. Just make sure you get a Venice core. Why? Dunno, it's just the latest one and has SSE3 and all that stuff. :D

lol, a K8 CPU with low-latency Dual-Channel DDR400 SDRAM configuration probably works just as good if not better than a P4 with DDR2-667 SDRAM.

Anyway, yeah, go for a Venice 3500+ and then look for a top graphics card.

So? AMD is going with DDR2 next year anyways. And no, DDR3 won't be out by then!
Nah... I realise that :D It won't be DDR3, they will have DoubleD-DR by then!

Nah, I suppose I get what you mean... if you want an AMD :p Can't think of why... but if you do, then I'd have to agree with them, a Venice would be the best bet, and a 3500+ would be a damned good all-rounder.
