I just got partition magic and i want to download linux just to tinker around with i set aside a couple gigs so i can just get a feel of it. But before i start i want to know how easy will it be for me to get back to windows. Will something always pop up that i can choose between the 2. Because personally i dont want to have to reformat...Thanks. ANYTHING will be helpful i'm a newb when it comes to 2 operating systems.

You have Partition Magic, so you should be able to delete Linux, get Windows back, and recover the last bit of gigabytes lost too because of the partition without doing a re-format :)
Thats the good thing about the program :p

Generally you'll get a message on start up if you want to boot to linux, windows, or windows recovery mode if you install linux after windows. There are also many great bootloaders out there such as lilo that help you swith between.
