Default linux gurus please help

I know there was someone on here that got steam running on Linux.

I'm using ubuntu.

How?!?!

i want condition zero, but steam is a .msi file and wine doesn't recognize it.

BUMP please help..

wine won't open steam. When I download Steam from steampowered.com it downloads as a .msi file and wine won't open it.

check out the wine forums for how to install steam. Never used wine myself but I know it's capable of running steam games.
