Which Linux?

torrent is probably the best way to get it.
And it should be pretty clear what u have to do when installing, just make sure that u DO NOT delete the windows partition. If u delete it, then all of the stuff is gone, u might still be able to recover it, but just don't delete the windows partition. The installer will suggest that it resizes the windows parition, and uses the free space for the linux partition. I've never done it like this, (ive always had the free space which I turned into a linux partition) but there shouldn't be any problems.

SUSE Linux all the way! Ubuntu is good too, I just like some of the SUSE apps more, and KDE is more user-friendly too a complete linux-newbie (no offense). But, you can get Kubuntu, which is Ubuntu with the KDE desktop environment. Ok, let me summarize:
SUSE Linux
Ubuntu Linux or Kubuntu Linux

Have fun with Linux! PM me if you need me!

Fedora is good too. I have that on an extra HDD I have lying around. It's pretty easy to install and it's pretty easy to work with. Ubuntu is also very good. They're both free which is nice too :)
