Linksys WRT54G AC Power Adapter

So I scored a Linksys WRT54G Wireless-G Router for about $3. No idea if it even works. I found a 12V AC power adapter for it (as that is what it seems to take) But the thing is, according to newegg, it takes a 12V DC, 0.5A AC Power adapter. The one I have here is a 12V DC, 300mA Power adapter. I assume 300mA = 0.3A.


What do you guys think?

Edit: It appears there are several different revisions of this router. Mine is V5.
