Default Linksys WMP54G v2

Anyone using a Linksys WMP54G v2 wireless g pci adapter on Vista Ultimate 64-bit? I'm going to need to install it into my new rig when I get it so I need to know if it works in Vista ultimate 64-bit. I downloaded the latest drivers for it, but in the release notes it says nothing about Vista. If anyone can help me in any way I'd appreciate it. I don't want to have to buy a new wireless adapter.

Yes, the Linksys WMP54G works fine in Vista. In fact, we used the drivers that Vista found for it and it runs perfectly.

Are you talking about the v2 card or the latest version which is version 4.1?

And in 64-bit Vista Ultimate?

Nope, the earlier version. I can't tell you which one exactly, I'm thinking it's maybe even an 1.x version.

(It's in my son's machine, he's asleep as he had a long night)

Ah, well when you find out, let me know...thanks a lot

That gives me some confidence that it's actually going to work.

The adapter works perfectly, I just installed it into the pc, booted up and Vista recognized it right away and installed the drivers for it....voila, it works.
