Default Laser Mouse and Destroyed Desk Surface

I have a laser mouse and form where the mouse has been left for any amount of time there is a spot on my desk that has been faded. It is not from moving the mouse because I tried it in a new area and there is a small spot that has been damaged.

Has anyone had this problem before.

yeah, i have the same thing....small dots all over the top of my desk from my laser mouse.....i guess a mouse pad would have prevented damaging the desk...oh well.

Whoa, I never noticed it until I actually looked at my desk just now. It hasn't done anything to my mouse pad ever since I got it though.

This desk is less than 2 months old and the whole right side is totally bleached.

I have an optical mouse so I don't see any issues. I use a mouse pad anyway.

Yup, that's why it's a good idea to use a mousepad.
