Which of these two laptops would be better? I would use it mostly for schoolwork but would also like to play games like Minecraft, Supreme Commander 2, and Battlefield Play4Free all on high graphics settings. I will also be editing photos with Gimp/Photoshop.

I would personally go with the second option. The processor and GPU outperform the first laptop.

Eeek, it's a toss up, unfortunately the Llano in the second build is underpowered compared to the i5 in the first one, but the GPU in the second one is a bit better than the first. It's up to you which is more important moving forward.
