Im in the market for a lappy. As you can see from my sig my computer is basicly ancient. I was wondering if you guys have any preferences for a brand or laptop, or a model suggestion. Im basicly looking for alot of hard drive space. I will be running one or more Automotive programs on the computer so thats 100gb+. I would do mild gaming,(its a laptop) on some older games perhaps. Im not looking for something small, neither something that will give me sore knees after im done with it. Its a pretty vague guideline, but I've been out of touch with computers for around a year now. So, any suggestions help I could get would be great.

My price range is around 800 bucks CND. Im pretty flexible with price.

Thx!
Kyle

I think dell gives the best value for money. You usually get a custom system shipped right to your house. They're extremely durable and from my experience pretty reliable (still using my 6 year old dell laptop). Plus the warranties are great. The only downfall is that they aren't the best looking laptops compared to acer or sony.

Video wise, I was looking at the XPS and the Studio laptops from dell.
What kind of performance difference will I have between the Studio's

256MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3450

And the XPS's

128MB NVIDIA® GeForce® 8400M GS [Included in Price]

OR

256MB NVIDIA® GeForce® 8600M GT [add $100 or $2/month1]

Thanks!
