Laptop shuts down before bios

I took my Inspiron 5150 completely apart to check out it's loose power jack. Then after putting it back together, when I attempt to turn it on it hangs for 2-3 seconds and then shuts off. There's no picture, but the fans and LEDs turn on. So I took it apart again and put it back together and the problem continues. Any ideas and suggetions are appreciated.

take the Keyboard off, so that you can see the CPU and cooler (and the fan).

plug it in and turn it on.

tell me if you can see the CPU fan spinning.

do as ROOT says and tjek the CPU cooler. if it does not spin, it could be the reason that it wont start corz of security reasons.

if it does spin:
it is properly some cable that you left behind.

if not:
try to take out one ram chip and try again. if still nothing. try the other ram chip.

if still nothing:
then you properly have damage something. (properly. i am not saying that is is broken, but it is most belivable)

not any good ideas.

i have one of those typical non working fixes: try to reset bios. (removing and inserting the battery)

you may still have damage something. after all, you have just splittet the laptop completely apart.
