Which Laptop should I get?

Hello people of the forums,
I was planing on getting the leveno y580 for a new computer (I will be gaming and also doing some graphic designing), today my friend sayed that I should instead get the alienware m14x but I have heard terrible reviews of alienware that the quality is bad and is also over priced. So my question is which one should I get since I am not sure which one is better :/
