Laptop question

When I go to use it, everything is fine, but if I were to step away from it for 10 minutes, It'll go into sleep mode. Is there any way to turn the sleep mode off and keeping it from doing everything else except going to a screensaver after a certain amount of time?

Make sure your power settings are set up properly.
In XP:
Right click the desktop, click properties. Go to the Screen Saver tab (you can disable the screen saver if you want to). Click on Power Settings and it will show you options for going into Standby etc.

In Vista:
Open Control Panel, Click Power Options. Over to the left there will be options for changing the time when the PC goes to sleep/monitor goes off.
