Laptop Memory question

Ok so right now I have a total of 1gb memory... im running an integrated video.. with no dedicated memory... at 128mb... When I go to Control panel and system it says 800mhz / 0.99GB...

Under the hood Im running 512 x2 (not sure exact speed)... anyways... say I buy a 2gb single chip take out one of the 512's and throw that in.. so I have a total of 2.5Gb's Will that increase my video memory? since its completely shared..

no the preset amount of shared ram is on the gpu. but having the exrtra ram is probably worth it by itslef cause you probably on have 768 mb ram after the gpu takes it up maybe even 512

Is there any way to increase the amount of memory the GPU shares with the ram?
