Default laptop keeps crashing....desperate of help...

Hi everybody,

I have this old issue on a new computer, i bought a machine from asus (notebook G1S) and since i bought it last year oktober it crashed like 10 times allready, meaning blue screen. I don't understand why and how come it keeps happening, i allready send the machine to the asus factory, i recieved it back with out any idea weather it's fixed or not. I played games and it seems fine but when i start doing multiple tasks it freezes and crashes. The odd case is that it happends sumtimes and unexpectedly. As of right now when i'm typing this the pc is mad warm, the cooler works in full effect and when i touch it it's pretty warm. Could this be the problem? I don't know what to do. Many things crash and don't work with vista even tho this pc came with vista it still runs like crap. I checked for more info on problems in control panel i see the biggest one is afcourse the video card...can anyone pls give sum advice what to do or how perhaps to fix it. I was thinking about formating the computer and hoping everything will be fixed. I don't know how to update video cards on laptops, i checked it once and it looked really complicated so....pls any help would be really apreciated...and i'm not sure about sending it again to asus...the help is awfull....anyways any help would be welcome..Sorry for the long read tho..

What was the content of the blue screen you were talking about. I know my z8100 gets quite warm due to having a socket 754 and a dedicated video card, but I've never had issues with that.

I assume this is your computer:

after looking around it appears that it has dedicated graphics, but it is not upgradeable.

right click my computer --> properties.
go to the advanced tab and click settings by start up and recovery.
click off the checkbox next to automatically restart.
This will let you see the blue screen so you can actually get the meaning from it.

Going by that, you may want to try updating your video card driver from the nvidia or asus websites to see if you have an old or corrupted version that is conflicting with something.
