Laptop Help!

right iv got an advent 8111 which i got from pc world 2/3 years ago (which i shouldnt of done) but i had vista on it and one day it came up with a BSOD, i didnt have time to see wot it said, it was only there for about 5 seconds then restarted, and kept doing the same thing, just restarting all the time, so i thought there was something wrong with vista so i went and reformatted the HDD and put XP pro back on, half way installing it just shuts down, when u load it back up again it starts the install again and then shuts down, iv tried installing xp media center aswel and it does the same thing, when i try to install vista i get a BSOD:

and then shuts down, iv tried using linux - DSL it loads up the gui and then shuts off, when i try linux mint and ubuntu i only get to the very first menu and then doesnt move from there.

its not the CD drive coz i have tried 2 usb cd drives, and i have also tried ultimate boot cd and the tools on there and found nothing.
