Default laptop GT 130M video card on windows XP?

Hello all, I recent purchased a laptop with the following specs:

Acer Aspire 5739G
Core 2 duo t6500 2.1ghz
Nvidia Geforce GT 130m 1Gb video card
4 gb memory
Windows Vista

My question is, is it possible to downgrade my OS to windows xp (im not fond of vista) and still get the full potential of my specs (mainly the graphics card)?

thx

Just go with Windows 7 on oct22; but yes you'd have no issues reverting to Windows XP; I wouldn't recommend buying XP though when Windows 7 is available soon and is a great OS.

yep I already signed up for the free windows 7 upgrade, but I want to make good use of my laptop before oct22nd. I can probably find some xp cd lying around the house.
