Default Laptop fingerprint reader

My new laptop (Dell Vostro 1510) came with a fingerprint reader. I just installed it the other day. I was wondering, is it possible to use the fingerprint reader as a way of logging on to windows (Vista Ultimate 32-bit) instead of or aswel as a password. Thanks for any help.

EDIT: I have solved it now, sadly password login is still an extra option at the welcome screen though.

thats pretty gay
that it still allows the option of you to manually insert a password
i would like to see it where you just run your finger over the reader
and your in
and you program it so that it can be any one of your fingers
that way if you get cut
your not up a creek with out a paddle

and if you loose all of your fingers
your not going to be typing very well any way :P

I can program it to use any finger but still has the password approach either way.

but can you program multiple fingers?
what if you get a cut on your finger?
and there is no manual password?
what then?
then you would be screwed
