Which Laptop Is Better?

I'm a little clueless. I want to get one for someone as an Xmas gift. I'm looking at either the Toshiba L305D-S5893 or the Toshiba M305D-S4831. Which one is better and why?

I would say go with the first one. Better processor and larger hard drive.

Thanks! How do the previous two add up to this one: HP 15.4" 3 GB Memory 160 GB Hard Drive Notebook Model G50-112NR? I've had several people tell me not to go w/ Toshiba, but then again I've heard that about other brands that I've had good experiences with. Should I take other people's subjective brand experiences into account or dismiss it?

That has a significantly weaker processor, 1GB less RAM (it really does make a difference with Vista), and a smaller hard drive. Plus I would take a Toshiba over an HP any day. I would recommend the first one (Toshiba L305D-S5893).
