yes i am using xp and it did ask me to create a network setup disk but i thought i didnt need to make one so i didnt make it.

Providing that all the hardware is connected correctly and is in fully working order, i would....

Delete the network, start again with it. Set it up firstly on the PC with the internet access, (the one with the modem), but this time create a setup disk. Then run that disk on the 2nd computer and it will detect the settings automaticly. On the 2nd pc, it will probably ask you the name of your network, make sure you type it in the same on both PCs. Call it something like 'HOME_LAN', or something obvious (i wouldnt use the default name for it as it can get complicated later on if you wish to add any other connections). It will ask you restart and when you do, theoreticly it should work.

kk na i wont be around and about then but maybe next time when we r both online. when u receive this message i will be offline.
