Is Giga Bit LAN 1,000 Mbps????????????

I would like to note it is GigaBit and therefore 1000 MegaBits per second (MBps. Not Mbps which is Megabytes per second)

A megabit is .125 of a megabyte.

No, as Grantofhell mentioned, a GigaBit LAN is not 1,000 Mbps, its 1,000 MBps, which is 128 Mbps.
