Default laggy games

Ok I just installed the CoD2 demo yesterday and it was lagging pretty badly. Now I have an AMD 3500 processor which should be pretty good for this game, but is it my graphics card that would make this laggy? I know I need to update it but I just wanna make sure that it isnt my processor.

just being curious but what graphics card do you have? my friend has an AMD athlon 64 3000+ and a x850xt which runs the full game fine. so you should be more than alright when it comes to your cpu
