Hi.

I recently lost some data off of my computer - some important data from my accounting program. I tried system recovery and that did not work. Soooo, I am using Lacie back up as described in my thread title. The problem is, I have no clue how to recover files from my backup system. I am running Windows Vista. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Does the Lacie program have an import button somewhere? Usually, you import a backup from a file, and you choose what to restore, but things can be different.

If you are not using a program, nor does the drive shows in Computer, then, Right-Click Computer. Select Manage. In Disk Management, your drive will appear. Right-click it, and assign a drive letter. Sometimes, it does not automatically assign it. Then, you can right click on it from the same window, and select Open. Browse, copy, paste, have fun!
