Im trying to rebuild my old computer and when i get it hooked up, and it asks me to press any key to continue, my keyboard wont work, its not the keyboard either because I have tried it on other computers and it works fine.

Also I had this problem once before, but somehow I fixed it. Any help?

Make sure that the keyboard connector is fully in, and is it a usb keybaord? If it is you need a normal one to get into the bios and allow usb support on boot. That should firx your problem.

No its a normal keyboard (im not sure what those are called) its not a usb. I checked and its fully in. Still no luck

make sure the keyboard is pluged in when it boots up.
also it is in the keyboard port, not the mouse port isnt it?

can you try another Keyboard to make sure it's not the port, if you tried another keyboard that would pretty much tell you what your problem is.

im sure its not in the mouse port.
its not the keyboard, because i plugged it into another comp, it works fine.

I tried another keyboard, still no work. When the comp starts it says "Keyboard error or no keyboard present. CMOS checksum error - Defaults Loaded"
