Hey guys,

Have any of you come across a problems where no usb keyboard or mouse will work in windows xp?

Basically everything was fine with a logitech wireless keyboard, but once I installed a microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse, nothing worked. I tried to plug in a wired mouse, but nothing happened and windows xp isn't even recognizing the mouse at times.

I know it's not the usb ports and I know its not the mouse, as I have tried several types of mouse and also the webcam is recognized in the usb ports.

The wireless keyboard works in the bios, but not in windows itself. Any suggestions?

Even after a reboot XP still doesn't pick up that the MS USB keyboard and mouse are attached? Have you checked the USB settings in the BIOS? Make sure legacy support is enabled.

What version of XP are you using?

Sometimes them things can be a bit goofy. I have a MS Comfort curve keyboard that has "disappeared" a few times during boot up. A reboot always brought it back though.
