Question keyboard craziness

i just reinstalled xp on my computer and if i press shift+2 i get " instead of @, similiarly if i press shift+' i get @ instead of " at first i thought it might be my keyboard but then i unplugged it and started using onscreen keyboard and it was true for there too.... is there somewhere i can go to edit keyboard mapping?

sorry that program wont do what i need, it doesn't allow the changing of shift+2. 2 is 2 but shift+2 is " also i just noticed that shift+3 is instead of number symbol.

to me,sounds like you have a European keyboard lol

has it always done this?

The keyboard could be right, but the keys wrong. too.

In the settings somewhere (in the control panel), you can change it to a standard US 104 key keyboard.
