can anyone help me!!!!!!!!!! got a dell inspiron and when typing some letters or number, it ads a letter or number withit,ie y7,t4??????????
i've tryed the sticky pads.. |

It sounds like the NUM lock key is on. Perhaps you have to use the FN key to turn it off.
Although if you were saying that y=7 and t=4 when you type that wouldn't make sense as that is not where the number pad is located. Make sure none of the keys are stuck down. When did this start? How old is the laptop?

i've tried that but nothing, its a few yrs old, also number 2 puts the cap lock on.....

Perhaps the keyboard is in dvorak (or whatever it is called). I've never used it so I'm not sure on the layout.
EDIT: Upon further review it seems unlikely that's the case. Maybe a "friend" remapped some (or a lot) of your keys? Or lastly maybe the keyboard is just dying (or dead).

we just turned the computer on to try and fix it and some how it is fine lol. thanks for your help people
