Question KERNEL32.dll problem

Alright, my buddy's computer is a bit screwed at the moment. He has Windows ME. After he starts his computer, it begins to load windows, and then this pops up.

Vsmon has caused an error in KERNEL32.dll

His computer won't go past this point because there isn't enough memory to do... ANYTHING. So I was wondering if someone could help us out here?

Sounds a bit screwed to me... In my opinion when stuff like that happens theres only a couple of things you can try but if you can't even get into windows, maybe this will help you... hehe...

Asus A7N8X Deluxe - Rev 2.0 - Bios Ver. 1007
AMD Athlon XP-M 2200+ - @ 11x188 = 2Ghz (1.75Vcore)
ATi Radeon 9700 Pro (Almost as good as my old 5950U!)
Corsair 512MB XMS TwinX Low Latency DDR 400 - @ 188Mhz
