Anyone know if i can lessen the power consumption of my computer? And anyone know if current motherboard and other computer parts are more power efficient then 2004 computer parts. I usually play video games and i have a Western digital 10k rpm hard drive x2 on raid-0. Im guessing my hard drive is the major power issue?

The new 45nm parts from Intel (E8xxx series) are very power efficient and so are the 65nm Brisbane parts from AMD (Athlon X2). As for the GPU, high end cards are very power hungry, but recently there have been good performing energy efficient cards like the ATI Radeon HD 3850 and the Nvidia 9600GT.
