Just finished my second overclock on my 4800+

Nice, my 3500+ would never go above 2.6 unless I had 1.6 vcore, which I wasn't comfortable with.

not bad man,

I overclocked my Opteron 1000MHZ, 1.8 to 2.8

on stock voltage, stock heatsink, stable. :D

It's a good OC, however, it could hit 3GHZ.

youre absolutely right. I got it up to 3Ghz. at first i tried it wouldnt get as far as loading up into windows. so i upped the dram volts and it bootup alright. run prime95 for 8 1/2 hrs without no errors, wasnt as long as 2.9Ghz coz i left it running while i was at work and needed it after. do you think 8 12 hrs was long enough?

here are some pics:

this one was while the tests were running: max temp was 54 degrees

and this is it after the tests have finished:

I knew it would have been possible. You have top put in mind the FSB, voltages and sometimes, the multiplier, if unlocked.
