Just Dual booted problem

Ok, I selected it as active, but I am STILL getting XP...

this is haaaard

ill see what i can find later but for now this thing has got me STUMPED.

you sure you dont have ANY windows cd that you can boot from

I mean, I have a Vlite CD, but it is a crack, so I don't think it will help.

Give this a shot. It is from the reference guide and tells how to dual-boot Vista and XP with Vista installed first. I know You have done some of it, but read through what they do, and see if they did anything you didn't as part of the process.

put it in see if you can get into the recovery console and do what you just did in there(set the vista as active)

is your copy of vista you have installed Vlite?

I read that through. I did everything they said, but my problem starts at inserting the Vista disk. I do not have mine, it was pre-installed on my computer.

I'm looking around for you. I want to see if there is a Boot CD that can install the GRUB loader you need. I know some versions of Linux come with it, but I don't know if you need install the actual OS or not for the GRUB to load.
