itunes wont play .mp3 but windows media playr will!?

Hey I have a .mp3 file of the song Satisfaction by Benny Benassi. I try to play it in iTunes and nothing happens, when I try it, the song says the length is 0:00. But when I try and play it in windows media player it plays fine, how come?! what is the fix for this?!

Download it again? Does iTunes play other mp3's? It's probably just the song.

yes it does, yeah I know its just the song, but I want to know the actual reason as to why itunes won't play it.

I thought iTunes worked on a different media file like mp4 or something not mp3. Which is why you have to change the song a wee bit for an mp3 song to work in iTunes....
