Post Which ISP would you use?

I want to change ISP but not sure best option. It won't be Virgin or Pipex (I've been asking for 6 weeks just to try and get a MAC code out of Virgin). A friend says BT are the 'least worst' whereas another friend says he had real problems with BT.

moneysavingexpert say O2 has a special offer on if you sign up before 31st if anyone has experience of them, although it looks unlikely I can do it unless Virgin actually give me a code.

Any thoughts appreciated thanks.

Hi yes I'm in the UK. The MAC code is what new ISPs say they need from the current ISP before they can provide Broadband themselves. My Virgin connection has been diabolical for 2 months so I need to get away but they won't give me the MAC code to transfer to another company.
