Default ipod touch problem

i have a itouch... when i try to turn it on it just stays at the apple logo screen. when i try to restore it, it won't let me. in itunes it says the files that are on it. i tryed to update it but it says it's up to date...anybody know whats wronge????

Maybe just let the battery die out, and see what happens.

i had a similar problem with an ipod nano and i just reset it and it was fine.

There's a wealth of information that you might find interesting on the official support website. Whenever something goes wrong with my iPod, I just reset it but I have the classic, not the touch.
