Ipod help

Hi

Have had my ipod for about 4months or so (bought it 2nd hand though). It worked fine until recently when it began too malfunction. What it does is it now has a whirring sound constantly coming from the back and songs radomly skip and also it sometimes comes up with an error message saying www.apple.com/support/ipod (but cant seem to get any answers from there).

I have tried restoring it but whenever I connect it to my PC and use the update thing to restore it, the PC just seems to take forever and seems to do nothing.

Does anyone have any ideas?

sounds like a HD error try calling apple, they are probally going to have to replace it, if u have dropped it or it has had any impact with anything then it could have messed something up...
