IP address, not really a question, just wondering

Hi,
can anyone find out who i am etc. from my IP address, ive heard that on other websites. How do you ping to find out someones ip address.

no i dont think they can...unless u have some stupid program that you put ur info in and it send ur ip out...but i dont think they exist lol. open command prompt, and type:

netstat/o

...and u get a list of ip's communicating to ur comp, like messengers, chat, etc..

It is possible to find some infomation on you by your IP address, for example your web browers and OS have built in features that allow remote partys to request data aboyt your system such as your OS name, version, browser, local time etc.. If someone sends one of thes requestst your you IP then they may be able to find this infomation, chances are they wont get ay personal details such as your name and address etc..
