Default ip address and host name

Hi. I have 2 questions.

1. I want to whatismyip.com and it gave me a different ip address from my computer (the computer gave it to me by ipconfig). Why are they different? What does it mean if they are different?

2. I went to the site http://whatismyipaddress.net and it said my host name was proxyche02 . . . but when I went to the site www.showmyip.com it said my assigned ip address was adsl . . .. Why are they different? What does it mean if they are different? Since the 1st one says proxy. . . does that mean I'm using a proxy?

Thanks
