Default internet speed

Hi, I've posted things about our dial-up before, but now I just found out its my providor thats slow. Ok so at my bieghbors house we were doing something with his internet, and his internet always connects at 45 kbs or faster, so he was having a problem with something, so I thought I'd try and eneter my connection info, and with my provider on the same computer it only connected at 30.6kbs. While a minute earlier his connected at 46.6 kbs. So something is slower with mine. Should I change providors? Or can I call them and see if they can do anything. Also what dial-up providers would you suggest that are cheap? Currently we have stans.net

I just tried the Cnet bandwidth test and got a high score of 14.6. And with my accererator on I get 86.6. I have callwave accelerator, and I think it helps a lot, just decreases the images.

Or anyone know any fre-trails for services? I tried the free net-zero but it wont connect for some reason.
