Default Internet on PDA

Can anyone help me set up internet on my PDA? Im not sure how and not even sure if I can.

My PDA has a GPRS reciver and I was wondering if you could get some sort of GPRS internet for it to pick straight up?

I read somewhere that you need to use your mobile, but mine is crap and the internet is slow and costly (damn Orange). And I dont fancy trying to hold my phone next to the IR port all the time eaither.

So is there a way to connect straight though GPRS?

If your PDA has GPRS, then you just need to stick a SIM card in there and start surfing... I don't think any PDA's have the high-speed wireless GPRS crap that I've seen around, but I've also not kept up with them much recently.

If you want to keep the price down, about all you could do is use standard 802.11b(wireless router and such) That's how I set my PDA up when I had one. And, actually, you'd be suprised how many free wifi hotspots you can find around...
Desktop: Athlon 64 3700, 1024M RAM, GF 6200 TC 256M, 2x 80G, 2x DVD-RW
Laptop: Sempron 2800, 512M RAM, Unichrome, 60G, DVD-RW
Macintosh:G4 1.33GHz, 512M RAM, Radeon 9200 32M, 40G, DVD/CDRW
They get me from 0 to 1...
