I use a program called Netcaptor (free) which integrates with Internet Explorer and when it's shut down, you can specify what is cleaned up and I do believe it cleans the "internet search" info as well....plus it has other pluses like "tabbed browsing".....

http://netcaptor.com

Or check out http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm (line 24 ... and download the file there)....

Or to manually do it, I got this from another site:

Quote:
To do this, in Internet Explorer 5 or higher, select "Tools" from the menu, then "Internet Options" and then choose the "Content" tab. Next, look for the button at the bottom that says "AutoComplete." Click on the button which will make the AutoComplete Settings window appear. In it, click on the "Clear Forms" button to delete all your stored form entries.
That should clear your search history since the "search" is treaded as a "form"....

Hope that helps....

yeah, well maybe someone didn't know how to delete internet history files, and came open this right now and finally learned how to do it!
Ever think about that?

Couldn't have been appropriate for the other users on his computer, I think I have a good idea of what it was
